On December 22, 2020, New York University Stern School of Business included Helio Fred Garcia's book, Words on Fire: The Power of Incendiary Language and How to Confront It, on its "Books Worth Reading 2020" list. Under the faculty publications category, Words on Fire is one of seven book published by Stern faculty members that the school highlighted.
Garcia is adjunct professor of management in the school's Executive MBA program, where he teaches crisis management.
